Opposition political parties and election observer groups have called for transparency, fairness, and credibility in the August 16, 2025 by-elections.
The opposition parties said this to newsmen this Friday, while urging the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to ensure a level playing field for all stakeholders and called on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to support efforts aimed at maintaining the integrity of the elections.
In addition, the chairman of the Coalition of Observer Groups in Nigeria, Simon Diogu, says the organization is closely monitoring developments while calling on INEC to ensure impartiality in the process and address any unresolved issues from previous elections.
