The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a total prize fund of $10.4 M for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN)
CAF has also allocated rewards for lower-ranking teams.
CAF President Patrice Motsepe emphasized that the increased prize money is part of a wider strategy to invest in domestic football and showcase homegrown talent on the continental stage.
He says that CHAN plays a “key role” in CAF’s broader mission to enhance the appeal of African football to fans, sponsors, and international broadcasters.
