Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia has fired another round of drones and missiles, hitting apartment blocks and a nursery in Ukraines’ capital, Kyiv.
This latest strike comes just days after Zelensky proposed holding a fresh round of peace talks.
Zelensky condemned the strikes as an “assault on humanity”, saying two people were killed across the country, and at least 15 others were wounded including a 12-year-old boy.
Ukraine’s’ Airforce says Russia launched 450 drones and missiles in total this Monday, attacking six districts of Kyiv which led to fires at a supermarket, multiple residential buildings and a nursery.
Russia has not responded to Zelensky’s call for new negotiations this week or an ultimatum by US President Donald Trump to make progress on a peace deal or face massive sanctions.
