Ebonyi State Government has expressed displeasure following the pace of work and the absence of workers at the ongoing 8.5kilometer road construction at Ominyi road, in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The Commissioner for Rural Development, Jude Okpor, Governor Nwifuru expressed his displeasure when he embarked on an unscheduled inspection tour of ongoing projects across the state.
Nwifuru cautioned the contractor to return to the site with immediate effect and deliver within 72 hours or risk termination of the contract.
Our Correspondent in Ebonyi State, Emmanuel Nnaji, further reports that the Ebonyi government advised other contractors handling Rural Development Projects to maintain total commitment to contractual obligations.
The Ministry said it will be embarking on an aggressive project inspection tour, starting this Monday, 21st July, 2023, to enforce compliance.
