The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Olorundare Jimoh, says the response time of his men to robbery and other public order offences is five minutes.
He said this in a television interview this Thursday, saying that once his men are called upon, they show up in under five minutes.
He also bragged that most of the violent crimes in Lagos are constantly prevented by his men.
Furthermore, he said his men’s behaviour have changed over time, as they have successfully eradicated traffic robbery in Lagos.
Speaking about state police, Jimoh says it is not the solution to Nigeria’s security challenges, but rather adequate funding for the Nigeria Police Force.
