Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Northeast have endorsed the retention of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima on the party’s presidential ticket in 2027.
Their adoption is contained in resolutions passed during the region’s Consultative Forum meeting in Gombe on Sunday.
At the meeting were governors, National Assembly members, some key party leaders, including National Chairman Abdulahi Ganduje and former Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
One of the resolutions says that the ticket has been useful to the zone and any change might create division among leaders.
