Two people have been injured in a tanker explosion on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, said this on Wednesday, also saying the injured have been taken to the Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital, Shagamu.
Akinbiyi says the tanker which was filled with a petroleum product exploded after it fell at the NASFAT axis of the expressway on Wednesday.
The explosion affected six vehicles, and caused serious traffic congestion on the road, however Akinbiyi says the Police, TRACE, and the Federal Road Safety Command were on ground to handle the situation.
