The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, says 11 persons have been rescued from the rubble of the building that collapsed on Tuesday in Lagos.

 

Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said this on Wednesday also saying three bodies were recovered including two adult males and a teenage female, who were trapped under the debris for hours.

 

Recall that the two-storey building under construction collapsed on Tuesday in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.

 

LASEMA says search and rescue operation is still ongoing, with various emergency responders, including the police, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Lagos State Building Control Agency, and others working together to ensure a thorough response.
