United States (US) President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to eliminate what he referred to as “transgender ideology” from the military.
Trump said this during a series of military-related announcements aboard Air Force One, saying he signed the order to ensure that US has the most lethal fighting force in the world.
Trump says the armed forces have been afflicted with radical gender ideology to appease activists, saying many mental and physical health conditions are incompatible with active duty.”
He also says the adoption of a gender identity inconsistent with an individual’s sex conflicts with a soldier’s commitment to an honorable, truthful, and disciplined lifestyle, saying that such soldier does not have the humility and selflessness required of a service member.
