Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has condemned Simon Ekpa’s opposition to the planned negotiation for the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu by South-East governors.

Recall that South-East governors have resolved to meet with President Bola Tinubu to discuss Kanu’s release, while some South-East Senators met with the Attorney General of the Federation also to plead with the President for Kanu’s release.

But Simon Ekpa, released a statement a few days back saying the governors lack the legitimacy to negotiate for Kanu’s freedom.

However, the National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, Okwu Nnabuike appealed to the governors to go ahead without hesitation and approach the Federal Government for Kanu’s release.

Nnabuike accused Ekpa of benefiting from the prolonged detention of the Nnamdi Kanu and working against the interest of the people of the SouthEast hence is opposition Kanu’s release
