The National Executive Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, have suspended the ongoing strike following the intervention of the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu.

The National Deputy Vice-President of the TUC, Tommy Etim, announced this in Abuja, saying leaders of the organised labour and Ribadu had a meeting on Wednesday evening after which various affiliates and state chapters reviewed the outcome of the meeting.

Recall that the NSA had announced that the individuals responsible for the brutalisation of the NLC president, Joe Ajaero had been arrested.
