Senator Uche Ekwunife, running mate to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the November 8, 2025 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, has said that the 2027 presidential poll would be a walkover for President Bola Tinubu.
Ekwunife, a two-time member of the House of Representatives who has also won senatorial elections twice in Anambra Central Senatorial District, said that Mr. Peter Obi, despite his popularity, would not see Tinubu’s back at the poll.
Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), recently moved to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) where he hopes to contest next year’s presidential poll if given the latter’s ticket.
