2023 budget to be signed into law in December

The Director-General, Budget Office of the Federation, Ben Akabueze, has disclosedthat the Executive Budget proposal will be submitted to the National Assembly(NASS) by September 2022 following President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive toget the 2023 Appropriation Bill passed and signed into law by December 31,2022.
Akabueze disclosed this yesterday, saying the Federal Government is determined to ensureconsistent and timely preparation, submission and approval of the yearlybudgets.
He said to this end, the budget office has organised the training of over 4,000 participantsinvolved in budget preparation from about 900 MDAs.
